Welcome to the website of the Salt Spring Island Scottish Country Dance Club.
We are a small, friendly club that welcomes all who may be interested in the fun, satisfaction and exercise, physical and mental, which Scottish dancing provides. An additional benefit, according to a United Nations study, is that dancing is the form of exercise which most contributes to longevity.
The goals of the club are:
- To promote Scottish Country Dancing for the enjoyment of members and others in accordance with the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society.
- To ensure that everyone will feel comfortable and welcome.
- To provide expert instruction with a view to refining the skill and expanding the knowledge of Scottish Country Dancers
- To create an environment for social enjoyment through dancing and other events.
